Song Title Poetry Challenge Letter O - Ottmar Liebert
Ottmar Liebert has been a companion to me since 1992. I’ve listened to almost all of his albums over the years, but Nouveau Flamenco still holds my heart—it’s the one I return to, over and over.
These haiku are composed entirely from his song titles, shaped in the traditional 5–7–5 form. I didn’t add a single word. I let the rhythm of the titles guide me, echoing the quiet precision of his music. Each poem carries a moment of stillness, a trace of longing, a thread of sound suspended in silence.
At the end, I share two favorite songs from Nouveau Flamenco. Consider them a final breath after the last line.
